Dourthe selected « La Gravière » plot at Château Rahoul, AOC Graves for its deep gravel soils, which are particularly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a powerful, well-structured wine, with dominant flavours of dark fruits. Subtle smoky notes support the complex bouquet, which is further enhanced by a hint of violet.
Food pairing
The perfect partner to Bazas rib of beef with wild mushrooms, fillet of wild boar and ‘pain d’épices’ spicy bread, or duck ‘parmentier’ pie.
