Each property has been evaluated through a blind tasting over five vintages (2017 to 2021), carried out by a panel of experts, guaranteeing an impartial assessment of the wines’ consistency and potential.
Château Reysson is distinguished by its clay and limestone terroir, unique in Haut-Médoc. The estate’s team carried out in-depth work to restructure the vineyard.
“A pedological study identified the highest quality areas, leading to a refocusing of production on the best parcels. Cabernet Sauvignon was replaced by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot,” explains Frédéric Bonnaffous, Wine Director.
The excellence of Château Reysson wines also relies on a meticulous approach to work in both the vat room and the cellar, by the team led by Joachim Gilbert, Estate Manager.
2023 will be the first vintage as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. In this sunny year, the wine stands out for its fresh, racy profile, due not only to the outcropping limestone on the property but also to the 11% Petit Verdot in the blend.

“We are proud to see Château Reysson join the elite of Crus Bourgeois. It’s recognition of the work undertaken over the years to reveal the full potential of this great terroir and produce wines of impeccable quality.” Valentin Jestin, Brand Director.
