Launched three months ago, our committed cuvée lives up to all its promises: a certified organic wine of exemplary quality, with eco-friendly corking and no capsule, a label made from recycled paper, and above all, a reusable bottle based on the deposit system, through the Bout’ à Bout’ network. One last promise was still pending: finding the ideal partner to deliver the wine to enthusiasts across the entire Bordeaux Metropolis, while also retrieving the empty bottles for reuse after washing. Among our first distribution partners for Promesse 2022, discover Le Fourgon, a major player in the delivery of beverages and deposit-return products. With its yellow trucks traveling the streets of Bordeaux and the surrounding areas, Le Fourgon is bringing the milkman’s delivery round back to life! Milk, water, fruit juices, wine, and many other products in jars and bottles are washed and reused in a virtuous circuit.

How does it work in practice?

1. Maison Dourthe sources new bottles from the national deposit-return range through its supplier.

2. Once bottled, the wine is delivered to Le Fourgon, which then offers it to individuals on its website (retail price: €11.90 including tax). The bottles are

3. identifiable by the national deposit-return symbol visible on the label.

4. Le Fourgon team delivers to homes and collects the empty bottles at the same time.

5. Bout’ à Bout’ handles the washing process.

6. Maison Dourthe repurchases the washed bottles from Bout’ à Bout’ to refill them.

Fresh and indulgent, it’s THE red wine for summer!

Promesse is the result of a close collaboration between the winemakers at Maison Dourthe and a partner vintner in the Côtes de Bourg, whose vines are cultivated organically. Planted on clay-limestone slopes, they produce fresh, smooth, and full-bodied Merlots. Once harvested, these grapes undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration, while fermentation and aging take place without oak, in stainless steel tanks. These choices are aimed at preserving the intensity and purity of the fruit.

In the excellent 2022 vintage, Promesse de Dourthe offers delicious and juicy notes of raspberries, strawberries, and black cherries, with subtle floral hints (violet), while the delicate tannins form a velvety texture for immediate enjoyment.
